Meet the Committee

  • As Chair I am fortunate to work with an amazing team of equestrians whom are all dedicated to serve, develop, and grow the equine sport across Botswana, putting the welfare of our equines as priority. I have been involved with horses since a very young age – breeding, producing and showing horses and ponies at various levels. I am a Level 1 Instructor, Western Mounted Games Judge, a Learner National Dressage Judge, and serve on the Ghanzi Equestrian Club and the International Western Mounted Games Association.

  • I became the HSB Secretary following time spent on the Committee as the Grading Secretary and as a Member. In addition to managing the Societies secretariat requirements and communications I enjoy serving on the Development Sub-committee and the HSB Youth Programme.

I ride at StoneRidge Stables, our small family yard and at the Buckle Bunnies Equestrian Club, in Crocodile Pools, Gaborone.

  • I manage grading records across all HSB disciplines and maintain our membership records. I am part of the Development Sub-committee assisting in our new and exciting Youth Programme and I have established and am managing the HSB website. My journey with horses began at four years old, training in various stable yards and proudly competing for Botswana at international dressage. Alongside university, I pursue my passion for dressage with my young horse, Harley.

  • As a Member Representative my focus is on compliance, and rules and regulations. I support the committee’s efforts to grow and develop equestrian sports across the country through developing our framework of guidelines and standards. I enjoy being part of initiatives that promote community engagement, encourage new riders, and ensure the welfare of our horses remains a top priority.

  • Member Representative and Chair of dressage, and show jumping sub-committees, and member of showing sub-committee. I am a FEI Level One Instructor, and have been riding dressage and show jumping for many years. I am a true lover of Equestrian Sport and the owner of Penndragon Equestrian Center, a livery and riding school yard in Ruretse, Gaborone.

  • I serve as the western mounted games (WMGs) Representative, Vice president of the International WMGs Association, and Chair for WMG Botswana. My role is to develop and grow the discipline within Botswana. WMGs is an action packed sport which tests riding ability of the horse and rider combination and their bond. It’s a team sport where the combination competes against the clock. WMGs has the ability to draw a whole community together, create opportunities and to have FUN.

  • As the Treasurer on the Committee, I manage finances and audits while also assisting with reporting and administration. I have also assisted with event organisation. I have been involved with horses for over 30 years as an active competitor in hunters, equitation, show jumping and dressage. Over the last few years in Botswana, I have enjoyed learning about and competing in western mounted games and endurance as well. I enjoy keeping my horses at home at our private yard.

  • I am delighted to be leading the new Polocrosse Sub-Committee under the HSB. I am thrilled to help bring Polocrosse formally into the HSB family, and I am excited about the opportunities this creates for riders across the country.

Seeing the passion, teamwork, and incredible horsemanship that this sport inspires is what motivates me to help it grow nationally. With Polocrosse now recognised as an official HSB discipline, we have a fantastic foundation to develop structured training, competitions, and development pathways for riders of all ages.

My hope is to create an environment where more people can discover this dynamic sport, where clubs feel supported, and where we build strong relationships between all equestrian communities in Botswana.

I look forward to working with riders, coaches, clubs, and the wider HSB team as we take Polocrosse into this exciting new era. Together, we can grow the sport and create lasting opportunities for future players.
