HSB National Officials & Coaches Certification System
The Horse Society of Botswana (HSB) is committed to growing equestrian sport and making it accessible across the country. To achieve this, the HSB National Officials and Coaches Certification System has been approved by the Executive Committee. This framework supports the development of skilled Officials and Coaches who will guide the sport into the future.
-
Certification and Recognition
All HSB-certified Officials and Coaches will be listed on the HSB website.
Successful candidates will be issued with official HSB certificates.
Certification with another recognised National Federation, international body, or similar organisation may be considered for reciprocity.
FEI-certified Officials automatically qualify as National Officials within their area of expertise.
For more information on FEI certification programmes, please visit the FEI Officials Portal.
-
Training and Assessment
All training and assessments must be approved by the HSB Executive Committee. These may take various formats, including:
• In-person courses
• Online learning
• Written and oral examinations
• Practical assessments
As training opportunities may change, candidates are encouraged to contact HSB for the latest details.
-
Shadowing Requirements
Shadowing is an important part of the certification process.
A learner Official or Coach must work under the guidance of a qualified HSB Official or Coach, or one recognised by another National Federation or the FEI, as approved by the HSB Executive Committee.
