Why become a member
There a number of benefits to being a member of HSB.
• As an adult member you are entitled to vote at the Annual General Meeting and also become a committee member.
• All members receive email notifications and a calendar which keep you up to date on the latest horse related activities, including travel, disease and medical regulations in Botswana and the surrounding regions.
• Any member or horses registered with HSB are eligible to enter Graded and FEI shows within Botswana and regionally. This enables your horse to gain grading points which are regionally recognized and thus increases its value. In addition, by knowing what points your horse has in each discipline is a way of gauging how well your horse is progressing through the grades.
• As a member, you can get subsidized entries for FEI and regional shows.
• All members are also eligible for subsidized development clinics and courses with qualified regional and international instructors.
• You can also be eligible for team member selections to represent HSB at regional and international events.
• You are also eligible for subsidized travel as part of an HSB team member when traveling to shows.
• As a non participating member, you can be eligible for subsidized funding for judging, course building, and instructor courses.
• As a member of HSB you support equestrian sport within Botswana through the Botswana National Sports Council.
